CPL 2.0 Twitter

Personally, I think Twitter is going a bit too far. A gossip forum of 140 characters, and how do you use Twitter for business? I looked at Fish Creek's site and it is repeating everything that is online, in the program book, etc. What a waste of a staff member's time. Rubbish!

CPL 2.0 LibraryThing

LibraryThing is basically user friendly, I didn't have too many problems looking around the site. I do think some people have too much time on their hands, though.

CPL 2.0 Online Productivity Tools

I do not think that the online tools will totally replace the expensive versions one can buy but I do think these tools give more people access who would normally not be able to afford them.

CPL 2.0 YouTube and Flickr

I found both YouTube and Flickr user friendly and quite entertaining. I can see why people spend so much time on these two sites.

CPL 2.0 RSS

I was able to set up an account and a RSS feed without many problems. I can see where this would be useful if you really had to keep right on top of some type of current information. For myself, however, it would be just more junk mail that I would have to delete.

CPL 2.0- Google Universe

I actually checked out quite a bit of the Universe- I didn't even know this existed. The Google Directory was interesting, a lot of scientific journals are accessible, usually just the abstract, but a surprising number have the full article. At first I was disappointed because it seemed to be all American but then I found the odd Canadian journal. I would recommend this site to people, just with an aside that they may have to make a bit of effort to find exactly what they want.

CPL 2.0- Facebook

I have found Facebook to be a useful tool for sending large number of pictures to friends but the rest of it I find to be a waste of time. If you want to have a bit of fun it's ok but I can see where it can be rather addicting.
